Taster Days

Fully supported taster day. The best way to get you up to speed and see if racing is for you.

It’s common to test a car before purchasing, and a sportscar should be no different.

We will walk you through every step required to get you racing with the pack. Call me with any questions and we’ll get you behind the wheel in no time!

TASTER DAY FAQ

DO I NEED ALL THE RACE GEAR?

Ideally yes. A track day is a relaxed format, however feeling comfortable in the car dramatically aids performance, and we believe being correctly suited helps.

As a minimum, you will need

  1. Full face helmet
  2. Gloves (not fingerless)
  3. Thin shoes
  4. Thick trousers (jeans ideally)
  5. Long sleeve jumper.

Optional:

  1. Hans device
  2. Race suit
  3. Fireproof underwear
  4. Fireproof balaclava

DO I NEED A RACE LICENCE?

No, but you will need a full drivers licence if above 18. If under 18 then you will need to pass your ards test and come with a competitive licence.

WHAT TRACK WILL I DRIVE?

Whichever you like! We will find the best option for you based on date and location.

WHAT HELP WILL I GET?

You will receive the same support as you would on a race weekend. This includes a driver coach to talk you through technique and corners, and engineer to run through some data and get the car set up for your style (and yes, you will have one!). We will also have mechanics looking after you and fixing the car if you did have any mishaps

WHAT HAPPENS IF I CRASH

We bring some of the basic spares with us and it’s likely we will fix the car the same day and get you back out.

In the highly unlikely event that the car is not repairable in the same day this unfortunately will mean and early finish.

WHO PAYS?

We will ask for a deposit ahead of your track day. This is to cover the repair of the car.

We will also ask for a small fee to cover the cost of the team, fuel and entry. This will be reimbursed should you decide to race with us!

I’M NERVOUS ABOUT DRIVING BUT I STILL WANT TO TRY

It’s normal to feel this, but once you arrive at the track we’ll take good care of you.

On a track day you will be driven around the track in a normal road car at first to familiarise yourself with the corners.

Then, you will be a passenger to one of our driver coaches. They will show you what the radical can do and to show you its limits.

Once the coach is confident you’ve understood, you swap seats and they will guide you through the track.

Depending on the car you will either have radios linking you to the coach sat next to you, or simple hand signals.

Once you’re up to speed and the coach is confident in your ability and temperament they will let you drive the remainder of the day alone.

HOW LONG IS IT?

This will be a full day of driving, although we will bring you in for regular breaks to refuel you and that car!
